With all the myriad of blogs on finance or passive income out in the infinite world, why another?
Like many other victims over the years I have also been sucked into the vortex of wanting to make millions and to live the life of kings. Whether it was having a massive stock or property portfolio to being an internet entrepreneurial wiz, with dollars signs in my eyes I was going to be RICH!…. Well so I thought.
After becoming disillusioned with everything after my mother passed away, in 2009 my wife and I sold most of what we owned and went on a soul searching travel adventure that totally realigned our values.
No longer did I want to become rich…
We discovered that all we needed was a reoccurring income stream that would help support ourselves and not have to work for the man…. ever again.
Passive Income Pilgrim was birthed in Pai, Thailand after we decided leave it all behind again (for the second time in 2013) and live abroad to fulfil our dreams of wanting to make a difference in the world – see more here. This blog serves not only to keep me accountable but to chronicle the journey, with all the ups and downs, toward sustainably supporting us whilst travelling.
To this day I haven’t received a dime from generating a passive income other than a small dividends from a stock portfolio. Thats right zero… zit… zilch from any other source. 10% of the profit from my passive income streams will be donated to charities we have a strong connection with.
The main areas I will be focusing on to generate income online with PIP are:
- Niche Sites Creation
- Google Adsense
- Affiliate Marketing
- Ebooks
- Youtube marketing
- Stock photo revenue
- Smartphone apps
I’m not going to completely box my pursuits into the above, I’ve just done a lot of reading and research on many of those areas without ever putting any of what I learnt into action.
In my honest opinion the famous quote ‘Knowledge is Power’ is foolish because only knowledge in action brings real change.
